S2021-1 Week Six

It’s hard not to call this first one a failure — there’s not much to show for it in the way of video. And it’s hard not to feel bad about it or like I failed myself. I keep reminding myself that during this time I:

• Trained up for 5th degree testing

• Studied up for written test for 5th degree

• Worked on completing a thesis project (fully animated video) which is now almost done and the result of nearly 6 months of work. It’s also the most ambitious project I’ve ever taken on.

• Completed a [secret project] in 4 days

• Still made progress on the planning/concepting/pre-production stages of S2021-1

I suppose it’s a lesson in humility and knowing limits. But it is a personal project with no real bearing on anyone. I’ll be taking everything I’ve set out so far and working on it in the future. It might become S2021-2 or I might work on it periodically to catch it up by the end of the year.
